What our Staff Say

Our staff are passionate about what they do and the high level of care they provide. They get a real sense of achivement in making a difference to our Service Users lives.

'I have worked for Pepenbury for 3 years in Acorns, the day service. There was an opportunity earlier this year for me to apply for a senior position. I was successful with my application and began my new role in August. I couldn’t be happier with my new position in the team. I am now working towards my Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care. I am very pleased with my personal development within the company.'

'The staff here are very professional, well trained and proactive towards our service users. They work well as a team and are very supportive of each other. I joined recently and have felt accepted into the team quickly. The team have been very supportive of me and are always forthcoming with advise. I'm glad I accepted the role within Pepenbury.'

'No working day is the same and each is amazing as each person has a unique character. Cooking with the Service Users is a joyful challenge. Each person has a different skill which they can use in preparing and cooking a meal and the reward is to eat it. Working with the younger adults is promoting life skills and teaching them to be independent. Achievement is the biggest reward in this job.'

'Since working for Pepenbury I have been supported with my personal development and regularly attend mandatory training and also training of my choice, I have recently been supported to achieve my diploma level 2.'

'The people we support are truly at the heart of Pepenbury, they are involved in all decisions, be that day to day or more complex organisational decisions. This is what I love about Pepenbury. The staff really know, understand and care about the people that we support and this is evident by the person centred care and the quality of life people lead. These values are throughout the whole organisation from the CEO to the maintenance team. Staff and service users are listened to, valued, respected and developed to their potential. I have been here for a number of years and have no plans of that changing! '

' I have worked at Pepenbury for the past 11 years. During that time I have been promoted within the company. I love my job! I wake up every morning and look forward to my day, which is always different to the last one. Pepenbury is a great place to work, with the nicest people.'
