Visitor Information

Come and explore the woodland walk with its abundance of wildlife

Preparing for your visit

Visitors are welcome to come and share our fantastic facilities.  In order to prepare for your visit, please read the following information which will ensure your safety and make sure you get the most out of your time with us.

Pepenbury is home to 71 people with a learning disability and complex needs.  By visiting us you will help us provide a more inclusive environment for our residents and service users.

Our more able residents are regular visitors to the coffee shop and outdoor areas and enjoy meeting members of the public who visit us.  Others work on the site and you may see them serving in the coffee shop, caring for our small animals or in our gardens and woodlands, where they are gaining new skills.

Some of our residents may become agitated in public places, which can be unsettling for visitors.  However, they will always have their Support Worker with them and other staff will be on hand to help if needed.  We have assessed any risk to visitors and put measures in place that mean issues rarely occur.  People who visit us regularly get to know our residents and benefit from chatting with them and finding out more about learning disability.  Visitors also find our more about the services we provide to ensure residents lead full and active lives, and they become great advocates for our work.

Pepenbury is a unique environment, visitors soon discover for themselves what a special place it is and can't wait to come back and visit us again.
