Senior Support Worker (Fern House)

If so, come and join our team in Fern in Pembury near Tunbridge Wells, as a Senior Support Worker supporting adults with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs. 

The 6 men who live in the house enjoy doing fun activities such as going to disco’s, swimming and trips to the seaside. You’ll also support them with their day to day activities such as shopping, cooking, some personal care, household chores and pursuing their hobbies.

You’ll be involved in planning the shift and team rota’s, ordering and administering medication, dispensing money and the associated record keeping and staff supervisions. You’ll also play a key role in increasing our service users community participation to allow them to become integrated into their local area.

You’ll work with in a team of 3 Senior Support Workers on a shift pattern which includes early and late shifts and sleep ins.

The successful candidate will have:

• an NVQ level 3 in Social Care or be willing to study
• experience of working in care, preferably in a supervisory role
• knowledge of autism, complex needs and challenging behaviour
• excellent communication skills using a variety of methods
