Many local schools visit Pepenbury to explore our woodlands and learn outdoor skills such as den building or laying campfires.
For children who usually live in a city, it is a chance to experience the great outdoors and an opportunity for personal development as they work in teams in an unfamiliar environment.
More local young people, studying towards Duke of Edinburgh and other Awards, volunteer their time to support our work and often tell us it has been the most rewarding time of their lives. It helps prepare them for future volunteering or work placements and can direct them towards studying or working with vulnerable people in the future.
