MOST (Milestones Outreach Support Team)

Residents and other service users can take a dip in Pepenbury's own swimming pool

Pepenbury’s community outreach support service, MOST, has been helping people with a learning or physical disability, to live in supported accommodation, either in their own homes or shared houses for over 8 years.

MOST provides as little or as much support as people choose, including overnight support and help with personal care.

MOST Support Workers are specially trained and recruited for their passion for, and commitment to, helping people with a disability to live independent lives.

Support is allocated following an assessment, and a dedicated support worker or small team is allocated to an individual so that they become familiar with their needs.

People can choose how to utilise their support. This can be help with managing day-to-day living; such as shopping, cooking, housework, paying household bills, applying for benefits or attending GP appointments. MOST also helps people to take part in social activities such as going to the cinema, library or to meeting friends.

Our ultimate aim is to help people develop the skills and confidence they need to progress to live more independently. We encourage people to see what they can achieve and agree a support plan to help them realise their wishes and dreams.

We also offer support for adults with a disability who want to go on holiday or breaks for carers who want a day or night out knowing that their loved ones are well looked after.
