Day Services Support Worker
Do you enjoy sports such as swimming, sailing and horse riding? And do you have a passion for supporting people to take part in these activities?
Are you caring, patient and fun and able to help Service Users to learn basic living skills which you do on a daily basis without thinking about it?
We’re currently looking for a Day Service Support Worker on a 12-month temporary contract to cover maternity leave.
The role involves supporting our Service Users to participate in sports activities 3 days per week, organising transport, arranging and booking sessions and providing some personal care and assistance with getting changed.
On the other 2 days, you’ll be assisting them to take part in life skills sessions where they’ll learn about health & safety, cooking, cleaning, travelling by public transport and how to manage their relationships.
The people we support have a number of complex needs including autism and mild to moderate learning disabilities.
Due to the nature of our clients and the assistance you’ll be providing them with, we require a female for the role.
The successful candidate will:
• have previous experience of working with adults with learning disabilities or a desire to learn
• be highly motivated
• have excellent communications skills
• hold a current driving licence
In return, we’ll provide you with all the training you need, competitive terms and conditions and an environment where you can reach your full potential.
