Supporting Pepenbury
Welcome from The Friends! As you probably know, the independent residential “care” village of Pepenbury, at Pembury, is owned and managed by Larkfield Hall Ltd, which also manages the Wychwood respite centre, at Southborough, on behalf of Kent County Council. It also provides a range of highly-regarded day services and training for work, for both residents and day-users.
The Friends and Parents group; support the company as it expands into one of West Kent’s leading caring establishments. Most of our members are parents and supporters of residents at Pepenbury, but we are delighted also to extend a welcome to the parents and other relatives and guardians of those who stay from time to time at Wychwood, as well as volunteers and supporters who are keen to support efforts to help those with learning difficulties.
We hold several meetings a year, but from members’ subscriptions (usually around £25 a year by standing order) we can help buy many “extras” for Pepenbury. We also help out at Open Days and at other events.
Volunteers will play an increasingly important role, as we take on more ventures, and you may feel you would like to lend your support, too.
The Friends also provide a useful forum and “informal” contact point for parents of potential residents who want to know more about Pepenbury.
If you would like more information, please do contact Nigel Hill, or complete the membership application and other forms attached...
